The New York-based photographer uses high-resolution camera equipment to capture views from a helicopter with an open door. They include the Disney Dream, which features a 9 hole mini-golf course, 11 nightclubs and lounges and the first "water roller coaster": a 765-foot long winding waterslide called the AquaDuck that goes through the ship's funnel. Jeffrey also shot the fourth largest cruise ship in the world in the form of the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas. Kreuzfahrtschiffe können wie imposante, verwirrende Türme aussehen. Der Fotograf Jeffrey Milstein jedoch schaffte es in seiner Serie von Luftaufnahmen, «Cruise Ships», die schwebenden Giganten schön aussehen zu lassen. Die meisten von ihnen haben einen Pool, eine Laufstrecke und einen Basketballplatz. Das ganze Oberdeck wird zu einem schwimmenden Vergnügungspark in der Grösse von drei Fussballfeldern.

Norwegian Sky
Heimathafen: Nassau (Bahamas), seit 2008, Kapazität Passagiere: 2002, Länge: 258,60 m, Breite: 32,25 m, Höchstgeschwindigkeit: 43 km/h

Nach einem Jahr beschloss er, grösser zu gehen, das war, als er nach Port Canaveral, Florida, flog, wo Millionen Kreuzschiffpassagiere pro Jahr ihren Urlaub beginnen.

Für die Umsetzung dieses Projekts nutze Milstein ein High-Definition-Kamera-Equipment und fotografierte aus einer offenen Helikoptertüre.

Dazu gehören die Disney Dream, die über einen 9-Loch-Minigolfplatz verfügt. Über 11 Nachtclubs und Lounges und die erste Wasserachterbahn. Eine 233 Meter lange gewundene Wasserrutsche, die durch die Schiffstrichter geht. Das Schiff besitzt die Kapazität für 3634 Passagiere und 1300 Besatzungsmitglieder, verteilt auf 15 Passagierdecks.

    Wie wäre es nach den „Grossen Giganten der Weltmeere“ mit einem Artikel über die „Kleinen Zwerge der Teiche“? Pleonasmus lässt grüssen.
